Samsung teases upcoming foldables smartphones ahead of Galaxy Unpacked event

Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next generation foldable smartphones. The South Korean tech giant has scheduled its Galaxy Unpacked event for July 26. The company is said to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Watch 6 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series at the event.
Now ahead of the event, the company has revealed the design details of the upcoming foldable smartphones. “”We have distilled the Samsung design philosophy into three Design Identities, each one with you at the centre: our products must be Essential, Innovative, and Harmonious,” TM Roh, President and Head of MX Business at Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.
Roh further added that design identities of the devices are exemplified by the company’s hardware and software ecosystem. “We’ve raised the standards for foldable smartphone ergonomics. A difference of millimeter in a device’s thickness may not sound like a big change, but every gram and millimeter in a foldable device requires an engineering breakthrough. It demands craftsmanship with passion. When done well, the benefit to users is huge. That’s why we’ve innovated to make our latest foldables slimmer and lighter than our previous generations,” added Roh.
Samsung also revealed that the upcoming foldable smartphones are designed to offer a personalised experience to users. “you can capture the perfect angle, hands-free. The enhanced multitasking experience like a PC also raises the bar for productivity. You can work, collaborate, or game on-the-go.”
Talking about the Galaxy Tab and wearables, Roh said, “they work with each other harmoniously in an ecosystem that opens up a powerful connected experience, serving as a seamless extension of your needs, priorities and unique personality.”
