NFL Twitter goes off on drama king Aaron Rodgers for so-called update

Twitter users were not pleased about the Aaron Rodgers “update” report on Friday night during the NFL Combine.

On Friday night, diehard NFL fans received an update from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, and it had to do with Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, the report did not reveal Rodgers’ announcement on where he’ll play in 2022. Rather, it was that he is “truly torn” about whether he wants to play in Green Bay or somewhere else.

NFL Twitter, well, was not pleased with Rodgers’ non-decision and decided to roast him for it.

NFL Twitter reacts to lack of Aaron Rodgers decision in latest report

While NFL Twitter was making memes about Rodgers being indecisive, Rapoport spoke on his report during the Combine on NFL Network. When Rich Eisen asked Rapoport which team is the “forth” in the back and forth, Rapoport said that it was always the Denver Broncos.

Of course, there has always been a link to the Broncos, considering the team hired former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their head coach. Even with Rapoport namedropping Denver, Rodgers is still torn on where he wants to play in 2022.

Reports indicated throughout the offseason that the Packers were going to do whatever it takes to ensure Rodgers would stay with the team for 2022 and potentially beyond. They are reportedly, per Rapoport, prepared to reward him with a contract that will make him the highest paid quarterback in the league.

As has been stressed throughout the offseason, all you can really do is wait for Rodgers to announce his decision himself with the league year starting on March 16 at 4:00 p.m. ET.
